Greeka Kouzina Greek Food in Manilaย

ย
WHEN IN MANILA, celebrate life as you enjoy huge servings in GREEKA KOUZINA. It just opened this month of September and this restaurant in San Juan is already making a buzz all over town. I love Greek food because they are simple with so much flavor incorporated in every bite. Most of all, I love Greek cuisine because they never scrimp on the food they serve – always huge, always making hungry tummies happy.ย
ย
And hey, healthy lifestyle is in! Greek cuisine is generally healthy since almost every dish is grilled, roasted and/or cooked in olive oil, which is also practiced here in Greeka Kouzina. They only use olive oil in cooking (except for the fried calamari, of course).ย

Greeka Kouzina – lovely interior
ย
The interior was really beautiful. The textured walls and blue accents will take you and your imagination to an awesome dining experience in Greece. I especially loved the decorative hanging lights – it gave the place that “fun” casual vibe.

ย Watercress Blue Cheese Salad (Php 300)
ย
To start, we had an enormous (good for 4-5 pax) serving ofย refreshingย watercress salad complemented by thinly sliced sweet pears, crunchy walnuts and blocks of blue cheese for that creamy sharp taste. This definitely goes to our top 3 best salads list ๐
ย
ย Arni Lemonato (Roast Lamb – Php 490)
ย
Have you tried a lamb roasted for 5 long hours? We just did – absolutely a must-try! The meat was so tender that it literally fell off the bone. And the sauce, the lemon mint sauce, was the perfect combination for this delectable dish as it balances the meaty taste.ย
ย
FYI: Greeka Kouzina main dishes are good for at least two (2) to share, served with Greek roasted potatoes and also come with one (1) FREE siding of your choice.
ย
ย Moussaka (Php 180)
ย
The moussaka siding went great with Greeka Kouzina’s best-selling roast lamb. The cheesy bechamel sauce was so light and creamy layered with spiced meat filling and grilled eggplants. Nomnomnom.
ย
Greeka Kouzina’s Paidakia (Lamb Cutlets – Php 520)
ย
ย Greek Couscous Salad (Php 180)
ย
My personal favorite would be the savory lamb ribs that was too good to not suck the bones. Yes, I just couldn’t let it go โฅโฅโฅ. For the FREE siding, I ย partnered it with Greeka Kouzina’sย beautiful and healthy couscous salad filled with 3 kinds of tomatoes – sweet heirloom tomato, regular tomato and cherry tomatoes topped with tangy feta cheese. It’s a winning combo!
ย
Beef Souvlaki (Php 360)
ย
Spanakorizo (Spinach Rice – Php 180)
ย
Our Mediterranean food adventure won’t be complete without a delectable char-grilled beef skewer meal, best paired with rice of course. For this, we had Greeka Kouzina’s special spinach rice that was mixed with mint and dill herbs, sprinkled with more crumbled feta cheese. I believe that this mighty dish was sent from the Greek gods above – unquestionably the best spinach rice that will sweep you off your feet.ย
ย
ย Spanakopita (Spinach Pie – Php 280)
ย
Tapping the “Popeye The Sailor” within us, we had more spinach that night. Greeka Kouzina’s spinach pie is the perfect choice for people who are on a diet. It’s a light meal and is made from 98% fat free phyllo pastry baked with chunks of power spinach, tasty feta cheese and various Greek herbs.
ย
ย Baklava (Php 180)
ย
For dessert, we enjoyed an authentic Greek favorite . Greeka Kouzina’s baklava is layered with phyllo pastry filled with chopped nuts – pistachio, walnuts and cashews and then topped with a large scoop of healthy Greek yogurt. ย We loved this marriage of tarty yogurt ย and sweet and sticky baklava – lovely ending to an awesome Greek meal.

WHEN IN MANILA, follow your heart’s desires and celebrate life at GREEKA KOUZINA. Enjoy generous helpings and let the food take you to the wonderful Mediterranean islands.

I am a real Greek and I live in Manila. For God shake from when Greek Salad is served with couscous. This ingredient doesn’t belong to the authentic culinary habits of Greeks. Baklava never served with yoghurt and NEVER add cashews in the feeling simply because cashews is not Greek. This restaurant maybe is a good restaurant but for sure doesn’t serve AUTHENTIC GREEK FOOD. Most plates are bad copy of CYMA the chain of restaurants who serve good Greek food. I am expecting comments from a real Greek person who dine there, only then opinions about authentic Greek food counts. With all respect from all foreign visitors to that resto, Greeks knows better authenticity of their food.
