Good Samaritan Story: Two Workers Returned A Lost Wallet

I know you’re swamped with all the bad news in social media today. So, here’s something that would somehow lighten up your mood and brighten up your day.

This is a story of two workers named Richie Ruaya and Allan Magbato from MDC Construction who did a good deed yesterday.

As told by Edwin Soriano, the person who experienced the kindness, Richie and Allan were walking to the mall for their dinner break when they saw a shiny object and some other things scattered on the floor.  Upon picking it up, the two realized that it was a wallet. They immediately decided to contact the owner, Edwin, so they can give it back.

I was with a friend, getting ready for a Facebook live event about: “How to Avoid Toxic Stress in 2017.”

Funny thing is, just 45mins before the fb live, (1) I get into a dispute with an UberX driver for an accidental scratch I caused on his car
(2) I lost my wallet.

(Long-story).

While I was cancelling my ATM cards, I received a text. “Kayo po ba c edwin soriano? Twg po kau agad.”

I get in touch with the caller and agree to meet with “Richie” at Pan de Manila in Parksquare.

When I get there, I call the number again. Two men in construction uniform approach me.

They said that on their way to the mall for their dinner break they saw something shiny black on the road. They say they found the wallet on the street. Contents scattered on the road. Nasagasaan na nga daw yung ibang laman.

They bring the wallet with them and search for a contact number.

Our good samaritans are named Richie Ruaya and Allan Magbato . They’re working at the project site across Between park square and Fairmont hotel along Pasay Road.
