Good news, guys!

The improved postal ID can now be presented as a primary ID according to Postal ID’s Facebook post.

On the post, they said that:

(Rough translation: Good news, the improved postal ID is now a primary ID. It’s not easier to apply for a passport because they now recognize the improved postal ID as a primary ID by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)! Now, cardholders can apply for a passport using only their improved postal ID, accompanied by their birth certificate and application form. This has been approved through a letter from the DFA for the PHLPost that was signed by Undersecretary Ariel Y. Abadilla last October 11, 2016.)

Have you tried using the improved postal ID in passport application? How was it?
