 
In an effort to advocate for the rights of every Filipino child, Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) invites everyone to join the COUNT ME IN! ILIKE 2017— a global children’s day celebration.
Annually, GNIP celebrates global children’s day to raise awareness on key issues that affect Filipino children and youth. This year, GNIP carries the advocacy of pushing for better Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems. Basically, this recognizes every child’s right to be legally registered and to have access to basic legal documents.
“It may seem like a small thing to some, but something as simple as a birth certificate can serve as a key in attaining all of the rights of a child. Without being legally registered and without a legal identity, a person is deprived of basic services such as education and healthcare,” says GNIP Advocacy Staff-in-Charge Abbie Litao.
Open to all, the event will be held this November 26, Sunday, at the Liwasang Aurora, Quezon City Memorial Circle.
The whole-day program will have the following schedule:
- Advocacy Zumbathon (5am-7am)
- Educational and Interactive Activity Booths (9am-4pm)
- Free Concert and Variety Show with celebrity guests (4pm-7pm)
Working with other agencies supporting the cause, the event is held in partnership with the Office of Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, Manila Water Foundation, Adarna House, and WhenInManila.com.
