Theater fans will get a kick out of this: Broadway’s most talented “Leas” have finally met in person!
Most people may know Lea Michele as the gifted and ambitious diva Rachel Berry on the hit musical TV show, Glee, but the 31-year-old singer and actress actually got her start on Broadway, where she received a Drama Desk nomination for her role as Wendla in the musical Spring Awakening alongside fellow Glee alum, Jonathan Groff!
Suffice to say then that Lea Michele still holds the theater close to her heart. This definitely showed after the Glee actress fangirled over our very own musical icon, Lea Salonga after the two met backstage!
Lea (Michele) was in her hometown of New York City and caught a show of the Broadway production of Once on This Island, which the Pinay thespian happened to star in.
Michele even tweeted how excited she was to see the show, to her followers of almost 5 million:

A few hours later, Michele posted another tweet, this time with Salonga, saying that she was a fan of the original Miss Saigon star since she was little:
