Listen to your heart.

The people around Pia Gladys Perey are against her decision to be a fashion designer, but she knew she would regret it all her life if she didn’t, so she did it anyway. Size doesn’t matter.

We are all uniquely made by God, and we should embrace our bodies wholly. This is the message that sisters Danah and Stacy Gutierrez want to share to  everyone.

It doesn’t matter if your size 2 or 10. The power is within the mind and the heart — and if you use them wisely, fat or petite, straight-haired or curly-haired, morena or mestiza, it doesn’t matter. You’re gonna get to what you want to be.

There’s no such thing as too late.

Jaymie Pizzaro discovered her love for running late in her life — which turned out to be the very beginning of a wonderful journey to success. Living a simple life with her family back then, it was accidental when she decided to go running. And since then, she never stopped talking about it, so she created her blog that tackles all things about running.

And now, she’s been organizing The Dream Marathon for several years now, and found that this passion can change and inspire other people.

And of course, the event was graced by the Vice President of the Philippines, Leni Robredo, who shared her journey in her seat, reaching out to people amidst the challenges and struggles. Her presence is enough to uplift everyone in the room.

In a day, everyone walked out of that hall feeling she can do great things, inspired by simple words by these women we all look up to. And hopefully, in the next BDJ events, more women will discover their capabilities with just a bit of pushing and sharing the right words to them. To more empowered females, cheers!
