The presidential race is heating up and it’s clear from the posts going viral on social media. It’s great that everyone has an opinion on the presidentiables, but sometimes it can get too serious. Thankfully, some of the posts going around are funny enough to break the intense mood.
Take for example this series of tweets by Art John Agapito (@Cinephilliacy). He makes some hilarious but somewhat accurate comparisons of next year’s presidential candidates to classmates we’ve had in school.

Jejomar Binay – Ang kaklase mong na-elect na Treasurer na nagnanakaw ng pera. Kapag bumili ng gamit para sa klase, walang resibo pinapakita. (The treasurer that steals. When he buys things for the class, he doesn’t have any receipt to show.)
Rodrigo Duterte – Yung kaklase mong bully. Siya ang pinakamatapang lalo na kung wala ang teacher. Tagalista ng noisy kasi sergeant-at-arms. (Your bully classmate. He’s the toughest in the class, especially if there’s no teacher around. Lists the noisy because he’s the sergeant-at-arms.)
Grace Poe – Â Ang kaklase mong best in Values Education and Catechism Class. President ng PTA ang nanay niya kaya kilala ng lahat. (The best in Values Edcation and Catechism in class. Her mother is the president of the PTA so everyone knows her.)
Mar Roxas – Ang kaklase mong mayaman pero walang mga kaibigan kasi suplado. Nagre-reach out siya sa inyo pero di niyo lang talaga feel. (Your rich classmate who has no friends because he’s a snob. He tries to reach out but you just don’t feel him.
)
Miriam Santiago – Ang kaklase mong matalino na palaging kino-compete sa mga quiz bee at contest. Konti lang ang kaibigan kasi ang weird. (The smartest in class and the one who usually joins quiz bees and contests. Only has a few friends because she’s weird.)
