Former Alamid Vocalist Passed Away

If you were a rocker who grew up in the 90’s, you’re familiar with Alamid, the rock band that spawned hits like “Your Love” (which won Song of the Year at the NU107 Rock Awards in 1995), “Just Wasn’t Brave Enough,” and “Still Believe in Love.” Those who weren’t into the genre were still exposed to the band’s music, like “China Eyes,” which was used in the hit TV show Palibhasa Lalake and “Batibot,” which was used as the theme song of the TV show of the same name.

Today marks a sad day for the band’s members and fans, because vocalist Gary “Alamid” Ignacio passed away today, due to multiple organ failure. He was 49 years old.
