According to PhilStar, three firetrucks from the Tublay Bureau of Fire Protection and La Trinidad fire station are currently trying to suppress the fires. They were joined by villagers who trekked hours to help put out the blaze.

It has not yet been determined what caused the fire.

This comes just after a 9-day forest blaze that struck Kabayan, Benguet and destroyed 150 hectares of trees was finally contained.

So far, there have been no reported casualties.
