FORA Mall celebrates silent heroes & local culture through #IKON Event

1 IKON Poster REV 5 new for social media

Filinvest Mall’s newest development, FORA MALL in Tagaytay, celebrated HEROES’ Month through IKON (Istorya ng Kultura at ng mga Obra Natin). It was a week-long event created by FORA in partnership with WheninManila.com, DTI Cavite and NDN Entertainment Production, to honor and feature silent heroes, celebrate love for the country through arts, crafts & culture, and to give local entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their amazing products.

Why should we support and patronize locally made & home-grown products? Aside from the fact that we get to help micro & social enterprises grow, it also helps local communities thrive. You also get to help local farmers, fishermen and workers. You’d be surprised how amazing and creative Filipinos are in coming up with unique and interesting products to sell using the best raw materials from our country! 🙂

IKON also acknowledged and honored these outstanding Filipinos:

Mr. Tito Loreto Alcala, for his advocacy to care for the elderly (Adbokasiya ng Pagbibigay Kahalagahan sa mga Nakatatanda) through S.I.L.YA or Sa Iyo Lolo at Lola Yantok aming Alay )

Ms. Violaine Magsaysay of Ilog Maria, for her outstanding contribution in the field of Health, Beauty and Wellness (Larangan ng Agrikultura at Siyensiya)

Mr. Romeo Castillo of God Is the Sculptor, for his outstanding contribution to the field of arts in sculpture (Larangan ng Kathang Kamay)

Ms. Ma. Agnes Madlansacay of Café Amadeo, for her outstanding contribution to the field of Agriculture (Larangan ng Agrikultura)

Artworks from celebrities were showcased in this event. Lot Lot de Leon’s paintings, Agos,  Ian de Leon’s Buhay, Kris Villanueva’s Maskara, Zharine Marie Carbonell’s Biyaya and MR Speaks, Manu Respall’s Tinta.

Thank you to NDN Entertainment Productions, FORA, DTI Cavite and WhenInManila.com for recognizing our modern day heroes and most of all for providing a venue for local artists and sellers to showcase their arts, crafts and products.

Also, when in Tagaytay, don’t forget to visit the new, promising lifestyle destination in town– FORA!  See you there!

“Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children’s children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.”-  Theodore Roosevelt
