The city government of Pasig has started distributing food packs to residents in poor communities who are affected by the enhanced community quarantine implemented in Luzon to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Additionally, financial aid is also being prepared and will soon be released to informal workers who are not able to make a living due to the quarantine.

The city government aims to provide 400,000 food packs that will contain 3 kgs of well-milled rice in a sealed plastic bag, 2 cans of sardines, 2 cans of corned tuna, 2 cans of corned beef, and 2 cans meatloaf.

Mayor Vico Sotto sent out a reminder while distribution is being done. On a Facebook post, the mayor wrote:

2. Hindi perpekto ang sistema — We did not have much time to prepare. Ia-iba ang 30 barangays natin. Tulong at pag-unawa po.

3. Social Distancing.
