We all love a very wonderful dining experience When in Manila! Good food and good laughs with good friends all day long really makes for a wonderful moment. Of course, not every experience is alike. Let me share a quick story with you.
While we were having an ultimately fun time at this restaurant, my friend sitting in front of me suddenly laughed horrendously and accidentally bumped his side of the table towards mine. Next thing I know, splashes of my cold iced tea were on my dress with some chunks of our main course of the day, kare-kare. THE HORROR! Well, I tried to keep calm and pretend that nothing happened, though all I really wanted to do was become furious. My friend tried to help me clean up, but I was already a total mess by then. Our fun night was cut short – what a joy killer.
A wobbly table is indeed an irritant for anybody’s dining experience. This simple but persistent reality has caused our drinks to spill or shake and what’s worst, spill on your dress. Wobbly tables have plagued the hospitality industry for years. But now, FLAT® Technology’s unique new product solves this problem!
WOBBLY TABLES NO MORE!
All objects manufactured with FLAT® hydraulic technology will find their level on any uneven surface – instantly. The hydraulic PAD (Patented Actuator Device) technology located within the table base instantly reacts to movement or change in environment.
FLAT®’s patented technology is unique. Both the PAD and the PUK (Patented Undercarriage Key) has been engineered to create an integrated unit. It is incorporated into products at the design stage, so manufacturers aren’t stuck with a clumsy, bolt-on afterthought.
HOW DOES FLAT® WORK?
Each point of contact with the ground has its own hydraulic cylinder fitted within the leg, and all the cylinders are interconnected with fluid hoses. This device is referred to as the PAD (Patented Actuator Device). When the first leg makes contact with the ground, the fluid in that cylinder is forced out through the hoses and into the other legs. The smart valves inside then lock until the table moves position again. This technology not only eradicates the wobbly table but also allows users of FLAT® table bases to align 2 or more table tops perfectly and serve customers hassle-free.
I have actually seen how this Flat Technology works. While dining at Conti’s Greenhills branch, we asked the nice waiter to turnover one table beside us to see what’s underneath. And we saw this:

To date, Conti’s in Greenhills, Chef Robert in Banawe, Shakey’s Quirino, Tokyo Bubble Tea in Katipunan Blueridge, Mesa in Rockwell, Bizu in Robinsons Magnolia, and Mu Noodle Bar in Glorietta, among others, have incorporated FLAT® tables in their restaurants.
