We’re only half a year away from the premiere of the much-awaited live-action adaptation of beloved manga The Promised Neverland, and we can hardly contain our excitement–especially not when the official movie stills have been released!
For those who have yet to read or watch The Promised Neverland, it follows the story of Emma, Norman, and Ray who learn the dark truth of the world outside of the Grace Field House orphanage. They, together with the other children, plan their great escape while eluding the suspicion of their caretaker, Mama Isabella.
The manga had just recently ended while a season two of the anime is scheduled for next year.
The movie will be directed by Yuuichirou Hirakawa, who also directed the live-action series adaptation of ERASED. Starring as Isabella is Keiko Kitagawa while and Sister Krone will be played by comedian Naomi Watanabe.
Meanwhile, starring as Emma, Ray, and Norman are Minami Hamabe, Jyo Kairi, and Rihito Itagaki respectively.
The movie will be released on December 18, 2020.
