Netflix has just given fans their first look at the upcoming “Cowboy Bebop” live-action series, an adaptation of the beloved anime classic that has certainly been long overdue.
In photos shared by the streaming platform on its social media pages, they introduced audiences worldwide to the actors who have been cast in the show and provided a sneak peek at what the end product is going to look like.

The pictures featured John Cho who will be portraying the main protagonist Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir who will be playing Jet Black, and Daniella Pineda who will be taking on the role of Faye Valentine. Netflix also confirmed that the live-action series will premiere on November 19.
Fans of the franchise will also be delighted to know that the musical score for this adaptation was done by the original legendary composer Yoko Kanno while consultations were made with the original director Shinichirō Watanabe. Truly, it seems that Netflix worked hard to ensure this live-action show will meet everyone’s high expectations.

“Cowboy Bebop” ran from 1998 to 1999 airing twenty-six episodes (“sessions”) before being adapted into two manga series and a movie. The show is set in the year 2071 and follows the lives of a traveling bounty hunting crew in their spaceship called the Bebop. It earned critical and commercial success not only in Japan but in countries worldwide and garnered several major anime and science fiction awards. It is still considered the greatest animated television series of all time.
