Finally, someone adopts the “world’s worst cat.”
Perdita aka “jerk cat” was set up for adoption through an ad posted on Facebook last month. The Mitchell County Animal Rescue in North Carolina posted the ad that introduced Perdita to the world.
“We thought she was sick,” the ad said. “Turns out she’s just a jerk.”
Apparently, after the posting of the ad, the animal shelter received over 175 applications for Perdita. A couple from Tennessee was chosen as Perdita’s new parents.
The adoptive parents plan to rename Perdita to Noel.
According to the original ad, the feisty feline likes “staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again.”
Perdita dislikes “the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least… HUGS.”
Let’s hope her new home is free of those horrors.
