Filipino Beatboxer Wows Asia’s Got Talent Judges

Filipino Beatboxer Wows Asia's Got Talent Judges

It’s a pretty known fact that Filipinos are talented. News of our countrymen impressing judges of foreign reality shows or competitions isn’t so new to us, but each time, we are amazed at the skills some of them show. Neil Rey Llanes is one of them. He won TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy last year for his beatboxing skills, and he’s going international with Asia’s Got Talent. Much like the judges of Talentadong Pinoy, he wowed the former Spice Girls member Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm, former F4 member Vaness Wu, record producer and songwriter David Foster, and Idonesian rock icon Anggun.

Neil managed to get four “yes” answers from the judges by producing five different sounds, which he can do simultaneously. But that is only a preview as he can reportedly do 15 kinds of sounds.

According to Neil, he developed this talent in the shower, while his neighbor played loud music. He wondered if he could copy the music by beatboxing. He also shared that he joined Asia’s Got Talent to help his family buy a house.
