At only 17 years old this Philippine basketball prospect now boasts a height taller than NBA star Shaquille O’ Neal (7’1″). Kai Sotto was just reported to have grown a full inch by East West Private, a US-based sports agency. He now stands the proud height of 7”2.

Formerly a star of the Ateneo High School team, Kai currently trains in the United States in the hopes of making it to the NBA. The fact that he’s not even done growing is a sure plus to his bid. And according to EWP, it’s not height alone that Kai has going for him.
“That height will be deadly when his body fills in with muscle and he further builds up his stamina and agility and hones more basketball skills,” EWP’s Facebook page mentioned in a comment.
Son of former PBA player Earvin Sotto, we’ve already seen Kai follow in his father’s footsteps.
He was previously named the UAAP Season 80 Juniors Basketball Finals MVP and also led the Gilas Pilipinas Youth in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup.
