Filipino Artists on Twitter Want You to Donate for Typhoon Ulysses Relief in Exchange For Art Commissions

These past days since the devastating Typhoon Ulysses (international name Vamco) struck the Philippines leaving communities flood-stricken and desperate for aid, many organizations and groups have been putting together donation drives to help these communities recover from the damage. A simple “#ReliefPH” search across all social media will help you find initiatives where you can offer your cash or in-kind donations. (We’ve curated a list here.)

But what stands out among these initiatives is the collective effort of Filipino artists on Twitter to inspire others to help in exchange for art—an amazing trade, if you asked me! All you have to do is just donate a specified amount to the artist’s donation drive of choice and get your picture drawn. It’s that easy!
