Located at the Club Mwah Building along Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong City, Feria Salon is the newest and hottest go-to place for anyone who wants to have his or her hair transformed in a healthy way. It’s even a dream come true for me.
When I was younger, I hated my curly hair a lot because it was so hard to manage. It also had the tendency to be frizzy. No wonder I became so obsessed about having a straight hair. Eventually, the boom of hair straightening technologies enticed me. Thinking that it was the only answer to have manageable hair, I had it straightened before graduating from high school. Finally, I was able to break free from the curls I had a hard time maintaining.
However, as time went by, I realized that having straight hair was not really everything. As a university student, I found it hard to maintain my hair. My schedule was always hectic; I did not even have much time to visit salons to get the necessary treatments. This resulted in awkward-looking damaged hair that easily got messier even by soft wind blows. I gave up, had it cut short and decided I’d just let it grow with curls and be proud of them. I also decided to just make do with my natural hair for years. Like me, Amanda had similar concerns. Her long, wavy hair also had its share of hair treatment stories which, unfortunately, did not work too well for her.
Of course, our stories did not just end there. After all, the climate in the Philippines is not good for people with curly or wavy hair. The heat of the sun plus the humidity are always there, ready to make everyone’s hair frizzy and awkward looking anytime. Dryness is also among Pinays’ biggest enemies.
Good thing, Amanda and I were recently informed that there were actually lots of other things one could do to tame frizzy hair. To know more about these new treatments and to actually experience them, we went to Feria Salon.
Amanda got the 1-Minute Keratin Treatment and her hair was instantly tamed. It also became very soft and shiny, which was impressive given the little amount of time she had to devote to get the treatment. All thanks to the powers of the formula that helped her hair to undergo such a transformation in just minutes. Indeed, it’s perfect for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to spend in salons.
I, on the other hand, got the Semi Di Lino hair treatment. According to Ms. Monica Feria, operations manager of Feria Salon, Semi Di Lino’s secrets lies in the formula itself. It is known as an instant hair repair treatment that also locks the cuticles, leaving the hair soft and visibly beautiful.
Amanda and I were so happy after the treatment because we were finally able to discover new, quick means to get rid of friziness in a healthy manner. Both treatments were also fast. Plus, we loved the salon itself because it was nice and relaxing, and have a nice staff to boot.
We were actually very impressed because, apart from the instant head massage we both got during the treatment, they also styled our hair with nothing but a hair brush and hair blower. Yes, that easy.
Of course, apart from these two treatments, Feria Salon also offers other hair services such as cutting, styling, hair coloring, hair treatments, hair straightening, manicure and pedicure, and foot spa. They also do hair and makeup. Having said all of this, it is pretty clear that Feria Salon is a place anyone should visit when in Manila.
