Workers from a fast food restaurant were detained for seven hours after not giving police officers free burgers.
In a Johnny & Jugnu branch in Pakistan, a total of 19 workers were detained after being refused to be given free burgers. “This is not the first time something like this has happened… at our restaurant,” they said in a statement

Since the incident, 9 police officers were suspended. According to Senior provincial police official Inam Ghani shared on Twitter saying, “No one is allowed to take the law into his own hands. Injustice will not be tolerated. All of them will be punished.”
“Upon rejecting their request for free burgers, which has become a common practice for them, the police officers threatened our managers and left, only to return the next day to further harass and pressurise our teams… with baseless arguments,” the statement said.
