Fans couldn’t help but be alarmed when Chito Miranda and Neri Naig shared separate cryptic posts on their social media accounts.
On Instagram and Twitter, the Parokya Ni Edgar frontman posted an image of a broken heart as he wrote, “Akala ko walang magbabago at sobrang ok na ang lahat…pero bakit parang hindi na tulad ng dati? Bakit may bahong patuloy na sumisira sa pagsasamang nakasanayan natin.”
[Translation: “I thought nothing will change and that everything was okay…but why does it feel like nothing is the same? Why does something keep breaking us apart?”]

Meanwhile, Neri posted a black and white picture of rain hitting a glass window.
“Tag ulan na talaga. Maraming pumapasok sa isipan mo kapag ganito ang panahon. Minsan napapaisip ka.. kahit ginagawa mo na ang lahat, parang hindi pa rin sapat. May kulang pa ba?” she said.
[Translation: “It truly is the rainy season. I can’t help but think of so many things at this time. Often, you wonder… that even if you’ve done so much, you feel like it’s not enough. Is something still missing?”]

Fans then jumped into the comments and replies of both posts to either share messages of support or to express their hope that the couple’s cryptic posts don’t actually allude to a possible problem in their relationship but to a new song or project instead.
As of writing, neither of the two have addressed the speculations.
Chito and Neri have been married for almost seven years. They share one son, Miggy, and are expecting a second child soon.
