Fake Cebu Pacific Facebook Page Surfaces Amid Airline Holiday Rush Commotion
In the middle of the holiday rush commotion due to many Cebu Pacific Air passengers getting left behind the airport, an unofficial or “fake” Facebook page of the said airlines surfaced recently.
The page with the name “CEB Pacific” is posting a promotion of FREE flights as part of their apologies to customers. According to the fake page, 1000 winners will be chosen to receive free flights for 2 to any destination. Of course, the catch is to follow the instructions, which are to like the photo they posted, like the page, comment the destination, and share it on your timeline.
The fake Facebook page has over 51,000 likes since.
The verified Cebu Pacific Facebook Page posted about the unofficial Facebook page, which is pinned on their timeline. The post says:
Hi everyone! Please beware of this Facebook page who claim to be Cebu Pacific Air. CEB promotions, news or announcements are only being posted on our official social networking sites:

We have also already reported this page to Facebook, and will continue reminding everyone to be vigilant. Keep alerting us about accounts posing as CEB! Let’s keep Facebook safe for us all.
Many Cebu Pacific Air passengers were left behind by their flights despite being in the airport hours before the schedule. Passengers were stuck in long and non-moving lines because there were no staff manning the counter.
The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) is requiring the airline company to explain their side on the issue.
