The Sagip Bayan-Student Group (SBSG) is the largest and primary volunteer organization of the St. Luke’s College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial. As an organization, it aims to cultivate the value of social responsibility and community service in the minds of its members in the spirit of camaraderie.
In line with this goal, the SBSG will hold a General Assembly entitled “EXPLORE LIKE NEVER BEFORE: SBSG General Assembly 2020” on September 18, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event, which will be held on an online video conferencing platform, aims to introduce the organization at the start of the academic year and develop a relationship and a strong foundation among the members of the organization.
The program will open with a topic about “What is SBSG?” which talks about the history, mission, and vision of the organization from the perspective of a former SBSG president. This will be followed by a community-oriented talk with the topic “Importance of Primary Healthcare and Public Health” which will be tackled through the expertise and personal experience of an esteemed public health doctor. Finally, the assembly will close with the question “What is Next for SBSG?” where plans and calendar of activities of the organization for the current school year will be presented.
