Food trippin’ in Manila? Here’s a new kind of dining experience which I think you ought to try.
Yours truly was fortunate to be invited by Seda Vertis North to stay for a night to know more about the newly opened hotel and the Seda brand. As a staycation junkie, I didn’t hesitate to say yes of course, since I’m always on the look out for new places to feature.
To give you a little background, Seda Vertis North is the 6th Seda Hotel owned by the Ayala Group. The hotel currently has 438 rooms with 5-star amenities and is located near malls like Ayala Vertis North, Trinoma and SM North.
I think their rooms aren’t really bad at all. The superior room which I booked (paid for an extra night for my companion) was quite spacious and had the usual standard hotel amenities. I didn’t really expect a lot since I know it was the lowest room category (maybe I can book a better room next time). Too bad I didn’t get to spend a lot of time to try and check out all the other amenities in order to really do a full review (I had to leave early the next day to catch a flight). Here are some snaps I took….
Initially, we wanted to try the pool but ended up getting ourselves massage treatments instead. My companion was able to try their buffet resto at the ground floor and said it was just so-so and can still be improved. Hopefully, I can also find the luxury of time to visit again and try it out myself so I can give you my own feedback.
Anyways, during the media event, our gracious hosts treated us to their 7- course Chef’s Table dinner inside their hotel kitchen. Yes, a gourmet meal inside their actual hotel kitchen. No kidding! According to their hotel General Manager Mr Brett Hickey, the purpose isn’t really to make money, but to give guests a new unique dining experience.

So the big question is…. how much does it cost? Guests can experience their Chef’s Table for as low as P1,000/person for lunch, and P1,500/person for dinner. This feast can also accommodate a group with a maximum of around 14 people. Ideal for intimate gatherings and celebrations.
