Talk about a productive community service!
About 200 former drug users and pushers have joined the local government in its efforts to plant one million mahogany tree seedlings in a local Maguindanao town, according to local reports!
Reports say that these 200 people surrendered to police, in the midst of Duterte’s war against drugs program. Those who surrendered are mandated to perform community service which includes including tree planting.
The mahogany seedlings were provided by the local Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Maguindanao.
What a great initiative!
