Everyone’s Multiply profile photo was redrawn by the artist and it’s too cute

Do you remember this photo? It was a staple on Multiply and the early days of Facebook back in the day. The artist has resurfaced, posting it on her Instagram and talking about how it went wildly viral because of the emo subculture that was popular throughout the mid-2000s to early 2010s. It featured the iconic stripes, leather, and spiked bracelets that were a hit back then and what everyone was sporting to achieve that emo look (eyeliner, too, but let’s not get into my embarrassing high school past, okay).

“Hey everyone, it has recently come to my attention that a VERY old drawing of mine which apparently got popular on the Spanish-speaking internet has resurfaced. Someone suggested that I post the original here… so here’s some glorious high school artwork from 2006! ??,” she wrote in her caption.

She promised to create an updated version in celebration of it going viral again. Here’s the new one:

How cute!
