In 2014, Gawad Kalinga launched Kusina ng Kalinga (KnK), a feeding program aimed to support marginalized children’s educational journey, helping them grow, develop, and focus on learning. Since then, they have established 160 kitchens nationwide, preparing up to 100,000 meals every single day.
But now, a new era of hunger has hit our country, with the Social Weather Stations (SWS) reporting that the number of undernourished people has reached a record high of 7.6 million* families due to the effects of the pandemic.
