The E.T. Yuchengco College of Business (ETYCB) students and faculty will celebrate their College Week this coming August 8 to August 13. The celebration will be headline by five major events – Parade of Floats, Sports Fest, Academic Day, Ultimate Performer, and the most awaited Sound Bound Music Fest 2016.
The first day of the celebration will kick off the celebration by showcasing the students of the college dressed as their favorite fictional movie characters during the Parade of Floats. The students will also perform to compete for the title as the first ever winner of the Parade of Floats event of the ETYCB.
In the afternoon of the same day, Monday, Family Feud and Sports Fest will take place. Major sporting events include Basketball, Volleyball, Frisbee, Table Tennis, and other popular indoor sports.
On August 9, Tuesday, the students and faculty will get to learn from experienced and knowledgeable speakers like Mr. Henry Ong, director of National Institute of Accounting Technology, and Ms. Carmina Bayombong, among others.
From August 10 to 12, the Program Organizations (JPIA, YES, and HOTELS) under the ETYCB will hold their respective days. Product launching, skills showcase, and other fun activities will be held during the said days.
The ETYCB yearly competition Ultimate Performer will be held on Thursday, August 11. In this competition, the program organizations will get to showcase their dancing and singing skills to try and win for their respective organizations.
Finally, SoundBound Music Fest 2016, the final major event of the celebration, will happen on the 12th of August, Friday. The event will feature performers from Malayan Colleges Laguna headlined by the now rising band in Sud. The event will start at 4PM and is expected to end at 9 in the evening.
The whole celebration expects to unite the students and create something worthwhile for the society; hence the theme, “Uniting Forces, Creating Reality”.
