Ross Lynch is one of the members of American pop band R5. Aside from this, he’s also known for being one of the latest triple threats on Disney Channel. Ross is known for his role as Austin Moon on the Disney series Austin and Ally, and for being Brady on the Teen Beach movies.
Now, he’s going to take on a role that’s possibly the darkest of everything he’s done.
Ross has been cast to play the role of real-life American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in a film focusing on the teen years of Jeffrey–also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal.
Dahmer was convicted of 17 murders which involved necrophilia and cannibalism. ~shudders~ He died in prison in 1994 after a fellow inmate beat him to death.
People have mixed opinions about the choice. A lot say that he looks like a teen Jeffrey and that he’s perfect for the role.

Others were quite skeptical about the fact that a former Disney star was chosen for the role–especially since it wasn’t too long ago that Zac Efron was also cast for another serial killer role.

My Friend Dahmer has premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and is expected to be released later this year. Maybe we’ll get to catch it in theaters here, too!
