It has been 11 years since the starry-eyed Giselle (played by Amy Adams) fell from the fantasy world of Andalasia and into the real world of New York City. Yes, it has been 11 years! Can you believe it?!

And now, a decade later, we’re ready to re-visit Giselle’s life in the real world after she has found her real love story with divorce lawyer Robert (played by Patrick Dempsey). Now, we’re ready to answer the question: will Giselle truly have her happy ending?

Andy Shankman, director of the sequel entitled “Disenchanted”, shared at a Television Critics Association panel that the script for the upcoming film is nearly finished. He also spilled a few things that fans would be excited to watch out for in the film.

One, there’s still bound to be animated sequences in Disenchanted–just like in the first film!

In Enchanted, we were welcomed into the world of Andalasia through animation. It’s great to know that this iconic treatment of the film won’t be going away for the sequel.

Another thing that we could be looking out for is that Disenchanted will be having more songs!

Shankman says, “There’s a lot more songs this time than there were in the original, at least in the planning phase right now.”

As for the story, there aren’t details yet about the plot itself, but the general idea is already pretty solid. Disenchanted will be following Giselle as she thinks about what “happily ever after” really means.

There’s no word yet as to when Disenchanted is set to be released, but this new info is enough to get us excited!
