ENTERTAINMENT: Rica Peralejo gives birth to second son

Rica Peralejo gave birth to her second son on Sunday, June 9.

She delivered the baby via home birth.

Peralejo shared the emotional moment via Instagram.

“And so after 25 hours, this boy is finally out. I cannot wait to tell you all our birth story. Let me just say that it was a miracle to actually do homebirth, vbac (vaginal birth after caesarian), and to remain completely unmedicated all throughout the labor. ?? So many times I wanted to quit… but somehow strength came to my bones and body. Oh I really cannot wait to share it all with you,” Peralejo said.

“To all who have been praying with us since We began this journey, I thank you. From a fearful time to a victorious birth, can you imagine??? In those 25 hours his heart rate stayed completely perfect. Never went down. God protected my child through and through. He created AND sustained him. And i believe this is His promise to this child for all the rest of his life,” she added.

How can I not shed tears if it had to take five years, 38 weeks of praying God will sustain him, 25 hours of labor before I can finally have this boy? His papa, kuya, and I, have longed for him deeply. ❤️ . . I cannot wait to share more photos. Not only of ourselves but the birthing team we carefully chose, and who carried us through the different turns of this birth. Truly, if we want something supernatural, we must understand that it cannot be done alone. ?? . . #mamawonders

After 25 hours of labor, Manu came into this world. It was an extremely emotional, difficult, and fulfilling journey. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing birth team who all contributed amazing support. That has to be one of my favorite team experiences ever. Post about them coming soon! I’m so amazed at my wife for digging down deep at the 23rd hour to find the energy and stamina to push even more. It was definitely God carrying her all throughout. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness. Manu was 8.8 pounds at birth. His names mean “God with Us” and “God Who Heals” as a reminder of our journey with him. His nickname will be Manu. #goSpursgo
