ENTERTAINMENT: ‘La La Land’ Director Damien Chazelle To Direct A Netflix Musical Series

After the outstanding success of his musical films, Whiplash and La La Land, American director Damien Chazelle is now going to take his creativity and skills to the small screen.

It has been confirmed that Netflix will be collaborating with the Oscar-award winning director for the upcoming musical drama series The Eddy. Chazelle is said to be directing the two of the eight episodes of the show, aside from being one of the executive producers.

The Eddy will be set in Paris and will revolve around a club, its owner, a band, and the city of Paris itself. It’s going to be a phenomenal display of music, culture, and drama.

Aside from having one of the top musical-film directors on board, The Eddy will also have Grammy-award winning songwriter and producer Glen Ballard as the writer of the show’s original music.

For those of us who just can’t get enough of Damien Chazelle’s directorial talent, The Eddy will surely be something to look out for on Netflix.
