ENTERTAINMENT: Korean Actress Builds Space for Poor Children in Manila

It was Dalai Lama who said: “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.” I guess Korean actress Park Shin Hye, who appeared in “You’re Beautiful,” “Heartstrings” and “The Heirs,” believes in the saying. She is reportedly building a space in Manila for the benefit of the poor children, Manila Bulletin reports.

As mentioned in the report, Park’s agency, S.A.L.T. Entertainment confirms that the center for children will be done in October. Moreover, the idea began when the actress met Filipino children in Sampaloc last March of this year. Additionally, she invited 150 children to lunch after bonding with them, as well.

Significantly, this isn’t the first time she did charity work. Back in 2013, when she was appointed as an ambassador of the charity organization Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), Park formed the Starlight Project with her fans and built the first Shin Hye Center in Ghana. The center was equipped with library and playground.

It’s always nice to hear stories like this, especially if it involves helping the Filipino children.
