For quite some time now, we have been hearing rumors that GMA Network will release a reboot of “Encantadia,” one of the memorable Filipino fantasy series to grace primetime television.
Today, the rumors have been confirmed.
In the entertainment segment of GMA Network’s 24Oras, the network confirmed the reboot and introduced “Encantadia’s” new cast.
“Encantadia” was said to be one of the grandest, most ambitious, and most expensive productions for Philippine television during its time of release. Its pilot episode was aired in May 2005 while its final episode was aired in December 2005. It paved way to the second book “Etheria.”
The story of “Encantadia” revolves around the four Sang’gres of Lireo, the center of worship in Encantadia – Amihan, Alena, Danaya and Pirena.
