Mike De Leon’s ‘Citizen Jake’ film that stars TV personality Atom Araullo has officially declared its exclusion from this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
On the official Facebook page of the film, De Leon, who directed and produced the film, announced that it is “not joining, better still, not even considering joining” the MMFF 2017.

You may recall that earlier this year, ‘Citizen Jake’ initially posted an open letter similar to this regarding its submission of its script to MMFF. It appears that this latest statement is the continuation to that.
As written on the statement, director Mike De Leon said, “the film is not perfect…
but it is a good, honest film that is seeking an audience.”
