ENTERTAINMENT: After More Than 50 Years and 200 Movies, Jackie Chan Gets an Oscar

On Saturday, actor and martial arts star Jackie Chan finally got his Oscar – an honorary Oscar, that is, for his many years of work in film.

According to a report of GMA News, 62-year-old Chan received his little golden statue at the annual Governors Awards.

Chan said, “After 56 years in the film industry, making more than 200 films, after so many bones, finally.”

He had praises for his hometown, Hong Kong, and mentioned that he is “proud to be Chinese.”

He added, “I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching, breaking my bones.”

Stars attended the event including Denzel Washington, Lupita Nyong’o, Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Amy Adams and Dev Patel.

Tom Hanks even referred to him as “Jackie ‘Chantastic’ Chan.”
