ENRICH: Entrepreneurial Resilience in Changing Times

Many things must come to an end, but the memories we’ve had will be ours for the rest of our lives. ENRICH: Entrepreneurial Resilience in the Changing Times has unlocked golden opportunities and has been an eye-opener for people to be the best that they can be as they go through these challenging times. Special thanks to De La Salle University’s Junior Entrepreneurs’ Marketing Association (JEMA) and ENGLICOM for making ENRICH possible and a memory to be remembered not only by the Lasallian community but also to the people who have been part of this unforgettable journey.

ENRICH: Entrepreneurial Resilience in Changing Times was a three-day event where students were enlightened by obtaining deeper understanding regarding management and entrepreneurship through a variety of talks on social entrepreneurship and family businesses. As a result of this webinar, there were a total of 908 participants; 476 of which were part of the Picture the Future: Family Businesses in the New Normal, and the other 428 were part of  Sustainabeauty: Social Enterprises for Selfless Success.

On the 23rd of April 2021, a webinar entitled, Picture the Future: Family Businesses in the New Normal was broadcast live on Zoom wherein participants greatly benefited from the expertise and first-hand experiences of Mr. Jimmy Yaokasin who is the President of Toyota Tacloban Leyte Inc., and Professor Enrique Soriano who is currently a Founding CEO and Independent Director of Resorts World Manila as they highlighted as well on how family businesses in the Philippines made their way through the COVID-19 situation. With all the things they have shared, they embodied how striving to be a person of action can be a vessel of hope in the future.

On the following day of the 24th of April, SustainaBeauty: Social Enterprises for Selfless Success carried on in enriching the minds of the participants as Mr. Jon Gancayco, the President of RE/MAX Portfolio Brokerage & a Real Estate Entrepreneur showed how important is the value of thinking outside the box, that a picture is more than the sum of its parts. Additionally, together with Ms. Rosalina Tan who is the Founding President and Chairman Emeritus of the Organic Producers Trade Association Philippines also had taken note how reaching your goal requires passion and ambition in order to reach it.

The third and final day of ENRICH happened on the 8th of May 2021 with the Entrepreneurs’ Cup: Conquering Challenges, the event’s case competition. The participants were just as ecstatic as the organizers. Not only because of the cash prizes provided by ENRICH, but also because the business case revolves around the subject of tourism, which will be a great learning opportunity and asset for those who participate.

ENRICH: Entrepreneurial Resilience in Changing Times has officially concluded. But who knows? ENRICH might be coming again soon.
