Our favorite French luxury hotel came even more alive as their 30-feet Christmas Tree lit up on November 21, 2017, marking the beginning of our favorite time of the year. It was also an amusement to witness a musical performance of popular Christmas tunes by Sofitel Ambassadors Tanguy Gras and Dave Pimentel with the use of water-filled glasses! There were also several performances of traditional Christmas songs sung by the angelic voices of the Virlanie Children’s Choir – truly heavenly!

A check of 650,000 pesos was handed to Virlanie Foundation.
We all felt the love and support during the handing over of a Php650,000 check to Virlanie Foundation, which was raised from the recently concluded family run called the Sofitel Goblin Run. It was the highlight of the evening.
Fun runs have actually been organized by the hotel since 2004 to raise money for the benefit of Virlanie Foundation, a non-government organization that helps the street children of Manila. Sofitel ambassadors have been active in participating their programs, such as “Teach to Reach” and “Adopt a Child”. This moment was perfect as this is indeed the season of giving. The kids were also given early Christmas presents.

As the hotel executives lit up the lights, a feast of over-flowing gastronomic offerings commenced. We couldn’t help but take a glass of sparkling wine with us as walked around the hotel and feasted our eyes on the enchanting installations and melodic animations, all bringing up a chorus of French elegance and Filipino creativity.
