In light of GMA Network halting all production of its lineup of shows and soap operas (teleseryes), it will be bringing back some of our favorite shows from the past to fill in its timeslots!
As announced by the network through its corporate communications department, the following shows will be taking over as soon as its afternoon prime programs and “GMA Telebabad” shows finish airing its pre-taped shows this week:
“Ika-6 Na Utos”, the top-rated 2016 drama starring Sunshine Dizon, will replace her current series “Magkaagaw.” The returning drama will also extend over to take the slot of “Prima Donnas” starring Jillian Ward, Althea Ablan, and Sofia Pablo.
“Kambal, Karibal”, the 2017 hit starring Bianca Umali and Kyline Alcantara, will replace Barbie Forteza and Kate Valdez’s show “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday.”
The well-loved 2016 remake of “Encantadia” starring Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, and Glaiza Da Castro will be taking over the slot of Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado’s show “Descendants of the Sun.”
Lastly, “My Husband’s Lover” starring Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo will replace “Love Of My Life” starring Carla Abellana, Rhian Ramos, Coney Reyes, and Mikael Daez.
“Ika-6 Na Utos” and “Kambal, Karibal” will start airing on Wednesday, March 18.
“Encantadia” will start airing on Thursday, March 19.
Meanwhile, “My Husbands Lover” will start airing on Monday, March 23.
As of now, GMA Network will continue its run of “Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit” which is top-billed by Nora Aunor, Kyline Alcantara, and Mylene Dizon. It has yet to announce when it will hit a pause and what show will replace it in the meantime.
