After Coldplay, another globally recognized musician is making an appearance on local TV this weekend!
Reports have confirmed that “Shape of You” hitmaker Ed Sheeran is having a guest performance on GMA Network’s noontime variety show “All-Out Sundays” this coming August 15.
The British singer-songwriter will be singing his new single “Bad Habits” which was his first song after a years-long hiatus from the music scene.
“We’re probably thinking out loud but this Sunday’s performance will be truly perfect as singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran goes all-out with his latest single ‘Bad Habits’ on All Out Sundays!” GMA Network said in their social media posts.
Filipino fans have since expressed their joy and excitement over getting to watch him perform live on television again.
Sheeran also made news headlines within the past month for co-writing BTS’ recent chart-topping single “Permission to Dance.”
He first announced his “bittersweet” break from music to a concert audience in England last August 2019 before making it Instagram official in December of the same year. “Hello all. Gonna go on another break again,” he had written at the time. “The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world.”
“I’ve been a bit non stop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write, and read. I’ll be off social media until it’s time to come back,” he added.
He did, however, surprise fans in December 2020 when he released a stand-alone song “Afterglow” which was a melodic acoustic ballad for the holidays.
