The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) just released the Valley Fault System Atlas, which is a handbook containing 33 maps sheets of locations where the East Valley Fault and West Valley Fault run.
Places that are near the 100-kilometer West Valley Fault are considered to be in the danger zone and may experience earthquakes of up to magnitude 7.2. Meanwhile, those that are near the 10-kilometer East Valley Fault may experience earthquakes of up to magnitude 6.2.
PHILVOLCS mentioned that in the last 1,400 years, the West Valley Fault moved every 400 to 600 years. The last earthquake in the area was in 1658, or 357 years ago.
GMANetwork.com posted a detailed list of places in Metro Manila and nearby provinces that may be affected if the fault moves, which may cause a massive earthquake. They are as follows:
