Drizzy just set a new record!
Looks like other artists are going to have to put in more effort to catch up. Already the number 1 most streamed artist on Spotify, Drake made another milestone as the first artist to reach 10 billion streams on the music streaming platform.
A report from Forbes said that the majority of hits have come from Drake’s album Views, released on April 16 last year, gathering over two billion streams.
1.15 billion of those streams come from One Dance, his most popular song to date, and the first track to earn one billion plays on Spotify in December. Other hits like Hotline Bling, Too Good, and Controlla are also some of his most popular songs among fans.
Drake’s streaming success isn’t going to be overshadowed any time soon — he just dropped his newest project, the “playlist” More Life this Saturday, March 17.
