It’s free Wi-Fi for all!
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is rolling out its free Wi-Fi project nationwide, covering almost 1,500 municipalities across the country, according to local reports!
Wi-Fi hotspots will be installed in public places such as town plazas, government offices, and parks, and transport terminals such as train stations, seaports and airports, with an average speed of 256 kbps.
First and second class municipalities will also be included in the project, in order to better reach the Class III to VI municipalities, who were the original target beneficiaries of the initiative.
