Dolly de Leon reached another milestone as she was included in British Vogue‘s 2023 Hollywood Portfolio.

British Vogue‘s portfolio is composed of “30 of the world’s most famous stars,” who all paid tribute to the roaring twenties.

The roaring twenties refers to the 1920s, which saw a dramatic social, economic, and political change.

De Leon was joined by other Hollywood stars like Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kate Hudson, Viola Davis, Michelle Yeoh, Hugh Jackman, and more.

The portfolio is accompanied by an interview. When asked what she dislikes about acting, de Leon responded, “Scenes that make you physically dirty: when they make me roll in the mud or put fake blood on me.”

She also shared that Bette Davis is her Old Hollywood icon, while Meryl Streep is the actor she most admires.

De Leon also shared the best piece of advice she received: “Always remember that the work can never be taken away from you. Maybe I’ll do another project after this or this will never happen again, but the work will never go away.”

De Leon stars in Triangle of Sadness, which won the Palme d’Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. It is the highest prize awarded in one of the “Big Five” major international film festivals.

For her role, de Leon was awarded Best Supporting Performer at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. She is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globe Awards, which will be awarded on January 10, 2023. De Leon is the first Filipino to be nominated for the Golden Globes.
