Snapchat just unveiled their newest feature called Snap Map, and naturally, it raised a few eyebrows.
Snap Map is Snapchat’s answer to FOMO, where you can just take a look at their interactive map to see if something interesting is going on, especially if you’re looking to do something fun over the weekend. Just by looking at other people’s Snaps within a vicinity, you can decide right then and there where you want to go. You can even take a look at featured Snaps around the world!
Basically, this new feature allows users to share their location with their followers and view other people’s snaps that are nearby.
Although it does sound cool in theory, the mixed reaction it’s earned online is somewhat understandable.
After all, we can’t always assume people have the best intentions, and the new feature sounds like a great way to stalk people.
