The Office of the Executive Secretary from the University Student Government hosted the first ever university-wide talent show, One Music Playgrounds: LaSallian Showtime, last June 7, 2018 at De La Salle University-Manila Henry Sy, Sr. Grounds.
Lasallian Showtime has always been one of the highlights and most awaited events during the celebration of the DLSU University Vision Mission Week.
During the event, ten LaSallians battled it out to conquer and showcase their talents including singing and dancing, aiming for one goal–to be the first ever champion of the LaSallian Showtime.
At least 500 students gathered and watched to support the best students of De La Salle University-Manila has to offer. In the end, only 3 acts were able to conquer. Soul Sisters, placing as a Second Runner-Up, Junie Guyod as a First Runner-Up, and Trifecta the first Grand Champion of the LaSallian Showtime which received 10,000 pesos. Special performances from rising talents in the country discovered by One Music PH include Unit 406, Agsunta, and Sarah Caballero.
“This year, we have formed a partnership with One Music PH in actualizing the event, and we could not have done it without their help. Our team is also very grateful to those who participated and supported One Music Playgrounds: Lasallian Showtime. Seeing the crowd last June 7 made our efforts and hard work pay off. Next year, we hope to maintain the excitement for Lasallian Showtime, as it has always aimed towards a community that celebrates love for music, dance and various talents,” said Zoe Huang, Project Head.
Trish Andulte, DLSU Executive Secretary also said:
“Lasallian Showtime has always been dedicated to serve as an avenue for performers and talents of all kinds to share what they are passionate about to the rest of the Lasallian community. This year, the Office of the Executive Secretary headed by Trish Andulte, Kim Ong, Justeen Sy, and Megan Liu with Lasallian Showtime project heads Zoe Huang and Rossielle Fulgar, gives thanks to all who have contributed to the success of the biggest Lasallian Showtime yet.
We hope for no less than a community that celebrates wide ranges of talent regardless of personal backgrounds.”
