The academic year 2016-2017 has been a roller coaster ride for the students under the Accountancy Department of De La Salle University- Dasmariñas. Behind the numerous achievements they got are daily upheavals of long quizzes and comprehensive exams, coupled with countless of sleepless nights.
And what’s a better way to celebrate a year of hard work and glory?
To cap off the academic year, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, together with Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants and Accounting Enrichment Society, will bring the Accounting students back in time – in 1922, specifically – to firsthand experience the regal Great Gatsby party.
On its seventh year, ACD Night 2017 is the epitome of the classic extravaganza that F. Scott Fitzgerald introduced to the fiction world. It is a night where students can bring their inner Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan, interact with the other students of the department, and take a step back from the stressful demands of school.
It is a night where students can be whoever they want to be – a night that celebrates freedom of expression in the most glamorous way. This night is especially made to build the spirit of unity among the members of the department, not only as schoolmates but also as future colleagues.
The night will be filled with exciting segments such as Mr. and Ms. ACD Night 2017, The Singing Bee, and special band performances. Furthermore, the stars who shined the brightest during the year will be recognized for the glory they brought to the Accountancy Department.
The ticket price for ACD Night 2017 is Php 900.00. The proceeds of the event will be donated to the AcSeEd Scholarship Program, as a means of helping other aspiring Lasallian accountants to reach their dreams.
ACD Night 2017 will be held on May 6, 2017, at The Orchard Golf and Country Club. Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
