The finale to the Divergent series will be skipping the silver screen.
“Ascendant” the last installment of the “Divergent” franchise, will be made into a TV movie, and could possibly turn into a spinoff series, according to entertainment reports!
Apparently, the last film “Allegiant” did so poorly at the box office that the next project was in limbo: first, Ascendant’s production budget was slashed significantly, and its release date was bumped off to mid-June from March next year.
The TV movie will supposedly wrap up the main story with Tris and Four, serving as a launchpad for a possible spin-off TV series.
