Dionne Monsanto is officially saying goodbye to showbiz after 18 long years.
On Thursday, February 25, the actress revealed that she will be retiring on the morning show Magandang Buhay.
“I want to say thank you so much. This is my last guesting ’cause I’m retiring. I am already retired,” she told the hosts and viewers during her guesting. “‘Hello, Stranger’ is actually my last project and this is my last guesting. So, thank you so much Magandang Buhay.”
It was last February 14 when Dionne revealed that she will be leaving the Philippines “for good” to live with her fiance, Ryan Stalder, in Switzerland. They have been dating for two years.
She then shared a separate post on Instagram thanking everyone who’s supported her throughout her career.
“This day 14 years ago, our batch (PBB Season 2) was launched. Today, my last TV guesting for @_magandangbuhay aired,” she began.
“I started acting professionally in 2002 for ABS-CBN RNG. It has been an amazing 18 years. Thank you for helping this small-town girl achieve her dreams. I am forever grateful.”
Dionne starred in many television shows after her stint in Pinoy Big Brother 2, including Super Inggo 1.5: Ang Bagong Bangis, the Philippine remake of Lovers in Paris, FlordeLiza, Tubig at Langis, and The General’s Daughter.
Best of luck in your future endeavors, Dionne!
