Fans are wondering if all is no longer well between former “It’s Showtime!” cohosts Vice Ganda and Billy Crawford after it’s been discovered that they have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
It is unclear whether this happened recently or if it had been a while already but fans and avid watchers of the television noontime show couldn’t help but express concern over the circumstance, knowing just how close the two had been before.
Billy had been among the mainstay hosts of “It’s Showtime!” before he left ABS-CBN Network in September 2020 to host a new noontime show, “Lunch Out Loud,” which is presently airing on TV5. At the time, Vice had interviewed Billy and his wife, Coleen Garcia, on a YouTube vlog and assured him that they are still family even if he had switched networks.
“Alam mo, sa pamilya, di ba, meron kang kapatid na lilipat ng bahay. Pero hindi porke’t lilipat siya ng bahay, hindi mo na siya kapatid, hindi mo na siya kapamilya, hindi mo na siya mahal. Kaya kahit lumipat ka ng bahay, kahit saang bahay man tayo magpunta, magkakapamilya… Family kita… At mahal na mahal kita,” Vice said.
This news comes as “It’s Showtime!” increasingly gets involved in controversy, most recently with former Director Bobet Vidanes revealing live on TV how the show was “not healthy anymore” which caused him to leave after 10 years and become the director of “Lunch Out Loud” instead.
“Yung pagtatrabaho ko po sa kabila, hindi na po healthy. Mamamatay po akong maaga, ang ganda nung programa pero it’s not healthy anymore. To make it short lang, I’m here sa ‘Lunch Out Loud’ or any program, no pressure, ayan happy naman. It’s not about the money, it’s about health,” Direk Bobet had said during his birthday celebration on the TV5 program.
Vice Ganda seemingly hit back at this statement during the “Madlang Pi-Poll” segment when he insinuated that Direk Bobet had once left host Karylle out of an “It’s Showtime!” group chat he made.
Meanwhile, singer-actor Janno Gibbs also recently aired out his frustration towards the show for allegedly canceling his guest appearance where he was supposed to promote his film, “Mang Jose.” The post has already been deleted from his Instagram as of writing.
